Atrial
Fibrillation Program: Focusing on all aspects of ablation for atrial fibrillation
and complex atrial tachycardias including pulmonary vein
isolation, linear ablation and minimally invasive epicardial
ablation. (click here to
see an atrial fibrillation ablation)
-
Percutaneous
Epicardial Ablation Program: This is a new approach that is being routinely used for
catheter ablation: UCLA is the first center in the western
US to start such a program. (click here to see an
epicardial ablation)
-
Ventricular
Tachycardia Ablation: These are done with electroanatomic mapping and with
hemodynamic support in high risk patients. (click here to see a ventricular
tachycardia ablation)
-
Heart
Failure:
Bi-ventricular pacing/ICD program: We specialize in
difficult/failed implants and offer LV epicardial and
endocardial leads for failed bi-V implants. (click here to see a
bi-ventricular implant)
-
Adult
Congenital Heart Disease: This is a specialized program for ablation of complex macro
reentrant tachycardias in patients with ACHD.
-
Lead
Extractions: A dedicated program for lead extractions in collaboration
with Cardiac Surgery Service has been established.
-
Intra-Operative
Ablations: UCLA School of Medicine has a nationally renowned cardiac
surgical team and the EP service works closely with them to
develop innovative approaches to arrhythmia management.
