Applications for a General Cardiology Fellowship are available in early November via ERAS. The deadline to submit an application is the 1st Monday of each year. Please visit: http://www.aamc.org/students/eras/ to apply.

The application for Interventional Cardiology Fellowship is available through ERAS. The deadline to submit an application is the 1st Monday of each year. Please visit: http://www.aamc.org/students/eras/ to apply.

Applications for Heart Failure/Transplant, and Clinical Cardiac Electro-physiology fellowships are available for download below. The deadline to submit an application for these fellowships is the 1st Monday of each year. You must have completed a General Cardiology Fellowship program to apply.

Frequently Asked Questions

1. If I am a foreign medical graduate how do I go about obtaining a Letter of Evaluation from the Medical Board of California?
In order to complete a fellowship here at UCLA you must be board certified or board eligible in medicine. If you are licensed in another state you do not need to obtain a letter of eligibility. If you are not licensed, obtaining the letter is very similar to applying for licensure. Please see http://www.medbd.ca.gov for more information. You must contact the Medical Board of California to receive the letter or license.

2. Does your training program accept visas?
The University of California can only support J-1 visas for our clinical trainees. Applicants interested in the STAR program need to be permanent residents or US citizens.

3. Do I need a Letter of Evaluation if I am not a foreign medical graduate?
No.

4. When will interviews be held?
The UCLA/Olive View-UCLA Cardiology Fellowship Training Program offers 3 interview dates which are typically in February, March and April. Interviews are by invitation only. Notification of which applicants will be offered interviews is provided in late January.
